NEED ASSISTANCE ?We are committed to providing and identifying resources to support current tobacco users’ efforts to quit! We recommend a combination of strategies including self-help quit guides, in-person and telephone counseling and support, and medications.
Medications
Over the counter (OTC) nicotine replacement (NRT) products include skin patches, and chewing gum; all are available for students, staff, and faculty to purchase at the Stamps Health Services Pharmacy
ChantixTM (varenicline tartrate) and ZybanTM (buproprion) are two medicines that do not contain nicotine and are FDA approved smoking cessation products. Both are available in tablet form on a prescription-only basis, for students, at Stamps Health Services.
