Primary Care - Includes Symptomatic Covid Testing Information
  • There three types of appointments in Primary Care - Covid Testing visits, Respiratory visits and Non-Respiratory visits.
  • Covid Testing appointments will involve only a covid test.  There will not be an appointment with a provider associated with this visit. Results of covid testing will be communicated through the patient portal. This appointment type is appropriate for mild to moderate symptoms for which you do not need to see a provider but you do want to make sure your symptoms are not due to Covid. Covid testing at Stamps Health Services is only for symptomatic patients; it should not be used for surveillance testing or testing after exposure if asymptomatic. Inappropriate use of Stamps’ testing appointments will prevent those who are ill from accessing testing. Scheduling for Covid Testing appointments open up at 2:30 the day before the appointment. Covid tests are administered at the back entrance of Stamps Health Services.  You do not need to enter the building to receive your test. Please follow the signs to the back of the building.
  • Respiratory appointments will be conducted via telemedicine and in the Gold Care Team (if an in person visit is needed).  Respiratory appointments are appropriate for symptoms that may be Covid and if symptoms are more severe or persistent. If you book a Respiratory appointment, do not come to Stamps at your appointment time.  A Stamps nursing staff member will contact you by phone to review your COVID-19 screening form (please complete on the Portal) and to schedule you a COVID-19 lab test and telemedicine visit. Scheduling for Respiratory screening appointments open up at 2:30 the day before the appointment.
  • Non-Respiratory appointments will be conducted in the Blue and Silver Care Teams.  Please come to Stamps a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Non-respiratory appointments are for issues that are clearly not Covid, such as orthopedic injuries, traumatic injuries, skin lesions, etc. Patients who schedule a non-respiratory visit will need to complete a covid screening form on their patient portal within 24 hours of their appointment. Scheduling for non-respiratory appointments for the 8a-9:45a time slots open up at 7am the day before the appointment. The appointments cannot be scheduled into after 3pm the day before the appointment. Non-respiratory appointments for the 10am-4:15p time slots open up at 3pm the day before the appointment.
